| #3386 | fixed | Snapshot creation fails for vmdk image | ||
| Description |
When I try to create a snapshot of a running 64 bit Vista guest, it ends with a dialog saying "Failed to create snapshot for virtual machine miffot", and underneath it is an empty text box (which I presume should contain a more specific error message). Shortly after this, the VM fails with a BSOD and tries to reboot. After the VM has rebooted, it stops at "FATAL: Could not read from the boot medium! System halted." This persists if I try to reset the VM, but it works again if I power it off and starts it again from the VirtualBox main window. The system disk for the VM is an VMDK image. There is plenty of free space on the disk where the VMDK resides, and where the snapshots are saved. Snapshots taken when the VM is powered off works fine. The host is Ubuntu Intrepid 64 bit. |

| #3387 | fixed | VirtualBox Host Networking not working on Mac Pro 2.8ghz dual quad with Windows 2003 Server | ||
| Description |
I have an issue where I am running 2 Windows 2003 servers, one as a domain controller, and one as an exchange server for a test environment. The issue is that upon first setting them up, I was able to access the netowrk, but now I seem to have limited networking. The 2 servers can ping each other fine, biut I cannot get windows updates. This is all on HOST networking. If I switch the machines to NAT networking, everything works fine, but then both machines are assigned the same ip, and therefore cannot see each other. I copied one of the vm's to my Macbook Pro, and everything works fine, so this seems to bave an issue on the Mac Pro Desktop. |
