#3319 fixed DVD ISO attaching issues (and incorrect error messages) => Fixed in SVN James Lucas
Description

Machine had guest additions mounted. DVD was unmounted via guest, then detached by VBoxManage controlvm <vmname> attachdvd none.

Attempts to remount VBoxGuestAdditions iso or any other iso result in weird failures.

#3320 fixed VirtualBox Networking Components Issue with Windows XP SP3 => Fixed in SVN Barath
Description

Hi,

Earlier I had installation problem with VirtualBox 2.1.2 Releae Build, when i tried to install in Windows XP with SP3 (32 Bit)

In reference to earlier bug report, got the test build [VirtualBox-2009-02-06-23-14-48-w32-2.1-2.1.3-r42512] and installed on machine. The Installation was successful. However when i add a network adapter, Windows tries to install virtualbox provided networking drivers for the new adapter. While installing, since it is not signed driver, it is asking for confirmation to continue anyway, if clicked, the hardware add wizard freezes and does not respond. This happens everytime a adapter (virtual / non-virtual) is added and removed. When I dont install the VirtualBox Networking Drivers (By Clicking on STOP INSTALLATION) the add hardware wizard runs without problem. Surprisingly this does not happen with Windows Vista. It happened only in my Windows XP laptop (32Bit) with SP3 installed. So is there any workaround. Now i have installed VirtualBox again without networking components. Is there any workaround ? or what is the issue ?

#3321 fixed EBP software pegs Windows guest at 100% Rich
Description

I'm running an accounting software EBP on a Windows XP guest (vb 2.1.2) on a Ubuntu Hardy Heron host on a Dell Precision M4300. EBP used to run well under 2.0.6, but since migrating to 2.1.2 I'm having very large performance problems. These problems are particularly bad when using the reporting function of EBP.

After reviewing other comments on version 2.1.2 I tried activating the option "VT-x/AMD-V" and "Enable nested paging." These options seemed to not have an effect on system performance.

A reinstall of the Guest Add-Ons seemed to slightly improve performance, however I don't have any concrete mesurements of this "improvement."

Based on another ticket that I read I'll mention that the EBP software runs its own Windows service entitled, "EBP Pervasive.SQL".

I'd be happy to provide further problem analysis information if someone/people would like to ask for specific pieces of information that would potentially further clarify what is going on in my vbox.

Thanks, Rich
