#3310 fixed Long pauses in Visual Studio running on a Windows XP SP2 guest under Linux bifferos
Description

I've experienced regular pauses of up to 12 seconds on what I consider to be fairly capable hardware. For some reason such pauses seem to only affect the studio, and not the start menu. Work that one out.

Host: I've installed Slackware 12.0, Running Kernel 2.6.21.5 (SMP), this is on a Dell Precision 380, Pentium D dual core with AMD-V. 2GB RAM 60GB of free disk space (120GB SATA drive)

Guest Settings:
Base memory: 617
Video memory: 12MB
ACPI: Enabled
(everything else): Disabled
Two SATA disks (C: and D:)
PIIX3 controller (I needed to use some old disk images, but this shouldn't matter when using SATA I think).

Guest: Windows XP SP2 + Intel Matrix Storage drivers + Visual Studio 2005 (service pack 1).

Forum reports indicate this is also an issue for 2.1.0

#3311 fixed Get VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND on XP host, Linux guest when attach adapter to host interface => fixed in SVN Pat Knight
Description

Booting the virtual guest machine fails and displays a dialog indicating a VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND error.

The host interface is called "Intel(R) 82566MM Gigabit Network Connection"

I have administrator privileges on XP, so VirtualBox should have all necessary access.

#3312 fixed No Audio/Sound in Windows Server 2008 Guest on GNU/Linux Host vbgunz
Description

In regards to VirtualBox 2.1.2. Audio works in Windows XP as a guest on Kubuntu 9.04. It uses PulseAudio/ICH AC97 without a problem. Unfortunately the same cannot be said for a Windows Server 2008 installation.

I've enabled audio in WS08 *but* still see "No Audio Device Output is Installed" after logon. Checking sounds in Playback/Recording say "No Audio Devices Are Installed". I checked device manager and it just cannot seem to find an audio driver.

Is a driver included and not correctly installed? Sorry if one is separately available I cannot manage to enable it or find it.
