| #16637 | obsolete | VERR_PGM_INVALID_PDPE_ADDR when starting VM in Windows KVM virtualized host | ||
| Description |
When using the following OVA image (Ubuntu, 32 bit) in a 64-bit Windows 8.1 virtualized host under QEMU/KVM with nested virtualization, I get a VERR_PGM_INVALID_PDPE_ADDR guru meditation, and the VMM exits. Log is attached. I can boot other OSes successfully. Usecase of nested virt is testing several buffer overflow assignment submissions for Rice University's security class. If need be, I can use another computer, but my primary Windows environment is currently virtualized. |
