#19065 invalid Boot record loss on exporting a DragonflyBSD virtual machine in open virtualization format 1.0 file JasonBond
Description

Steps to repeat the problem:

  1. Create a DragonflyBSD 5.6.2 virtual machine and select Hammer2 as file system.
  2. Export this virtual machine as a open virtualization format 1.0 file, say it named 'dflybsd.ova'.
  3. Import 'dflybsd.ova' to another virtualbox host.
  4. Start the imported virtual machine in the new host, DragonflyBSD will report boot record loss.

Remark: If I copy all files of the virtual machine to another host, it can run normally. It seems that virtual machine exporting function mess up something for DragonflyBSD Unix.

#12022 fixed Windows 8.1 installer hangs at "fish" logo with UEFI boot JasonR
Description

I'm trying to perform a UEFI boot/installation of Windows 8.1 preview x64 in a VM on my Win 7 x64 host.

I've enabled EFI in System->Motherboard settings. I've also enabled the "VBoxInternal/CPUM/CMPXCHG16B" flag as many others mentioned.

After I "Press any key to boot from CD or DVD..." it simply hangs at the "fish" logo with no indication of activity on the display. The CD icon is blinking green at approx. 2 Hz. I've let it sit for at least 10-15 minutes. Disabling EFI works, of course.
