#328 fixed vm with win2k freezes, host has 100% CPU utilization bernstein
Description

when i try to install hyperchem evaluation in a windows 2000 sp4 guest the setup (installshield) completely freezes vthe vm (only mouse pointer moves) and host cpu utilization jumps to 100% (host is ubuntu 6.10) on a normal (non virtualized) winxp installation the programm installs smoothly. the lockup happens at a random stage during setup... however after looking twice at the log, the last line once the lockup occurs is something like : 00:02:51.246 PATM: Stop monitoring IDT handler pages at 815506c4 - invalid write 81550c3c-81550c40 00:03:11.411 AUDIO: set_record_source ars=4 als=4 (not implemented)

i even tried the VBoxManage setextradata <vmname> "VBoxInternal/Devices/piix3ide/0/LUN#[x]/Config/FlushInterval" [b] setting to no avail....

#1580 fixed vm went into guru meditation (pgmPoolTrackClearPageUser) ae.wiggin
Description

Backgroung: host machine is debian 4.0 (4GB RAM). vm is windows 2000 sp 4 (256MB RAM). While working with OpenOffice 2.4 on guest (one writer, one calc doc open), suddendly the mouse would not work (could be moved, but could not select or click) and the appeared a screen saying that the vm went into guru meditation and that I'd better file a bug report. Firefox 2.0.14 was also open. Only another vm was active at the same time (another windows 2000, same configuration)
