| #16715 | worksforme | 5.1.22 is unable to find usb | ||
| Description |
I have been running VBox for 2 years accessing a smartcard reader through USB 3.0. This morning I upgraded 5.1.22 and was unable to access the reader, or any USB device. When I right click on the USB icon, it says no devices attached, whereas it usually has a long list. I re-installed 5.1.20 and it works as before. I have no problem with running 5.1.20, so it's not critical for me. As an aside, when I re-installed 5.1.20, I am still using the 5.1.22 extension pack and guest additions, because, as it usually would, I was not prompted to update. Will this be a problem. Thanks. |

| #16713 | duplicate | Update links are http:// instead of https:// | ||
| Description |
When VirtualBox prompts me that there is a new update available, the link that it gives me to click on is always "http://". Since the downloads are available over HTTPS, it would be good to use the "https://" URLs everywhere to avoid an untrusted network spoofing the download links. |

| #16712 | worksforme | 30-Apr-2017 Update break all VMs | ||
| Description |
After updating VirtualBox & Guest Additions (Mac OSX 10.12.4; Mac Pro & MacBook Pro) all virtual machines are broken. Windows guests (Windows 95, 98, NT, 2000, 2008 SRV, Vista) crashes at boot and give BSD. Linux guests do not regonize boot disk's. FreeBSD crash right at the boot and keep looping. Tried to recover VMs from backup, but same problem occurs. |
