| #3199 | fixed | S10 U6 patched up on 11/24, not working with VBoxHeadless => Fixed in SVN | ||
| Description |
When launching VirtualBox headless, the VM does not start. If you look at the attached log file, it hangs at this line: 00:00:00.305 Initializing host clipboard service Everything after that log message is after I CONTROL-C the program. I'm launching it like this: root:=> VBoxHeadless -startvm billing I see no errors on the screen. If I launch it on the console (JDS) things work great. The log file for a successful launch looks the same up to the "Initializing host clipboard service" and continues just fine. |

| #3200 | fixed | running mtr in guest crashes the guest => Fixed in SVN | ||
| Description |
VBox 2.1.2. Host is Ubuntu 8.10-64bit. Guest is Debian Etch 4 64-bit. I've tried both NAT and and host interface. From a command-line in my guest, I run "mtr 192.168.42.99" where that IP is at the other end of a openvpn tunnel. About 1 second after mtr starts to run, the guest completely crashes. The VBox GUI says the guest has been "aborted". I'll attach the machine log file. I've tried the same thing with a Ubuntu 8.10 32-bit guest that is not using openvpn, and did not see the crash. On my Debian guest, it crashes 100% of the time, always about 1 second after starting the network tool mtr. |

| #3201 | fixed | Guest additions .inf files need [ClassInstall32] section => Fixed in SVN | ||
| Description |
Per ticket #1923 the .inf files that the Guest Additions installs need to have a "[ClassPath32]" section in them or the installer will fail to install them, complaining of a missing section in the .INF file. I added this section, empty to the .inf files in c:\program files\sun\xvm bla bla\*.inf and then searched for new hardware and pointed the hardware wizard at the above dir and they finally, after many months of banging my head against the wall, installed. Can you please ensure future Guest Additions have this change? Thanx, b. |
