| #13388 | obsolete | provided vbox gui icons are too small, ugly upscaled | ||
| Description |
The icons for the virtualbox gui seem to be compiled in and have a fixed size? My "small icons" are set to size 32 (KDE SC) because smaller is too small for me. Now the virtualbox icons do appear in size 32 but they are ugly upscaled and blurry. I looked into the source and in src/VBox/Frontends/VirtualBox/images/ I found that most of the gui icons are only size 16 - which explains the blurry pixelated look in size 32. Only the help icon is used from the current icon theme and therefore looks good and "in place". Can you please provide all icons in size 32 too? Or use SVG? Even better would it be if the icons were taken from the icon theme the desktop environment is using (the look of the current set used for virtualbox is very childish IMHO) or if the user could use own icons by inserting icons with the appropriate name in his/her used icon theme. By now inserting correctly named icons into the current theme doesn't have any effect: I put an icon named exit_16px.svg in my icon theme's actions folder as a replacement for the built in exit_16px.png - but alas icon in virtualbox did not change. But in the main the icons should be well recognizable which by now is not the case. |

| #5069 | invalid | VB 3.0.6: Auto-resize does not work anymore for Linux Guest -> video driver wasn't loaded | ||
| Description |
After upgrading from VBox 3.0.4 to 3.0.6, auto-resize doesn't work anymore for a Linux Guest (Debian testing) on a Windows host (WinXP SP3) --- resolution stays fixed at 800x600x32. Same problem occurs when running that Linux Guest on a Linux host.
