| #1685 | fixed | Unable to run multiple VMs with AMD-V properly -> fixed in SVN/1.6.6 | ||
| Description |
Originally posted on forum. I have tried to remove guest additions but nothing changes. Once a Windows VM starts when another presents already, the VM will hangup/BSOD. (VBOX GUI still alives) ===== Just updated to 1.6.2. With AMD-V turned on, I can run any one of the VMs I have smoothly. However if I tried to open another Windows VM, all Windows VMs (new and current) will freeze or BSOD. If starting ubuntu VM and Windows VM simutaneously (with AMD-V), it's highly possible to have some error message during ubuntu initialization. All the VMs I have can run properly without AMD-V. It seems that the current AMD-V support still have some problems dealing with multiple instances. OS: Vista x64 HW: Phenom 9550, 790FX, 8G DDR2. |

| #1686 | duplicate | Resume suspended Windows Vista 32bit with a VirtualBox host running bluescreens | ||
| Description |
If I have had VirtualBox running (a Debian guest) and suspended my laptop, when I resume the machine, I get a bluescreen. It's Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit SP1 on a Lenovo X61. If it's relevant to send you the crash minidumps, please email me and tell. |

| #1687 | fixed | Stardock Deskscapes interferes with VBox | ||
| Description |
I'm using Windows Vista x64 Ultimate as my host operating system. I have installed Ubuntu 8.04 as OS on my virtual machine. If I assign more than 300 MB (not really sure about the exact limit) of RAM to the virtual machine, I always end up with the following error message when I try to launch applications inside my guest OS: "Unable to allocate and lock memory. The virtual machine will be paused. Please close applications to free up memory or close the VM. Error ID: HostMemoryLow Severity: Non-Fatal Error" These problems have occurred on both of the VirtualBox versions I have tried out, that is v. 1.6 and v. 1.6.2. My system has plenty of RAM, so that shouldn't be the problem. I have also tried several VM configuration options. My system briefly: Windows Vista Ultimate x64 SP 1 Intel Core 2 Duo E6750 RAM 5 GB Nvidia 8800 GT Please ask for log files if you need them! |
