#1651 worksforme Sound problem. Host Vista. Guest SuSE 10.3 gike
Description

Hello

The host is Windows Vista Home Edition Premium (32 bits). The audio device is 'Realtek High Definition Audio'. Controller version is 6.0.1.5408 with a date of 2/5/2007.

When I start the virtual machine, and BEFORE SuSE 10.3 starts booting, a pop up windows appears with next error message (please, note as my Vista is in Spanish, the first part of the message is a translation into English):

--- ERROR MESSAGE --------------------------------------------------------

(Start translation) Virtual Machine execution can be into an error condition, as described below. You can ignore this message, but it is suggested to follow appropiate actions for assuring that the error do not appears again any longer (End translation)

Some audio devices (PCM_in, PCM_mic) could not be opened. Guest applications generating audio output or depending on audio input may hang. Make sure your host audio device is working properly. Check the logfile for error messages of the audio subsystem..

ID Error: HostAudioNotResponding Severity: Warning

Audio on Windows Vista works fine, even with the virtual machine running. Audio on the Linux virtual machine is not working at all.

Thanks

#1652 fixed vboxdrv will not load into an OpenSolaris 2008.5 Dom0 -> improve the error message Andrew Lentvorski
Description

As the summary says, if you try to run VirtualBox under an OpenSolaris Dom0, the vboxdrv module will refuse to load.

My particular setup is an OpenSolaris 2008.5 system running in 64-bit mode.

#1653 fixed Problems with Guest Additions in Windows 2000 guest after upgrade from 1.56 to 1.60 Rod Schaffter
Description

I have a Windows 2000 VM that worked well under 1.56 on a SuSE Linux 10.3 host. After upgrading to 1.60, I upgraded the Guest Additions in the VMto the one that came with 1.60. The guest VM now randomly hangs, sometimes at a blank desktop early in the boot process, other times after a few minutes have elapsed. Sending Crtl-alt-del just blanks the desktop, and sending an ACPI shutdown has no effect. Chkdsk shows no problems.

Programs runnning on start up are Commodo Firewall, Avast Antivirus and Spybot.
