#9280 obsolete Restore shared folders to os2 / eComStation clients Ryan Benech
Description

Shared folders USED to work with os2 and eCS. Those clients use Lan Manager and SAMBA to connect to normal network hosts. Looking at the code http://www.virtualbox.org/browser/trunk/src/VBox/Additions/os2/VBoxSF/VBoxSF.cpp, features have been removed 2 years ago.

Last known working code was rev 28800. http://www.virtualbox.org/browser/trunk/src/VBox/Additions/os2/VBoxSF?rev=28800

Is there any hope?

#9288 obsolete Solaris + SunRay does not allow several bridged VMs??? kebabbert
Description

I use Solaris 11 Express and have installed SunRay server v5.2. SunRay server allows thin clients connections to the Solaris PC, or to the Linux PC.

When I start up a bridged VM on the Solaris PC, I can not startup another bridged VM on the SunRay client. Only one VM can be bridged, the rest of the VMs must be NAT. I would like to start several VMs as bridged. Is this a Solaris/SunRay bug?

To duplicate this problem: Install SunRay server (downloadable for free) and install it on Solaris. The SunRay server software is easy to install on Solaris 10, and tricky to install on Solaris 11 Express. There is a wiki that shows how to install on S11E, or consult the SunRay mail list.

On my Solaris PC, I can startup several bridged VMs. After that I try to startup another bridged VM on the SunRay client - this is not possible. Or vice versa, if the SunRay client is running a bridged VM, then I can not startup a bridged VM on my Solaris PC.

SunRay server is downloadable for free, for Linux. There is a SunRay soft client downloadable for free from Oracle. The soft client exists for Windows/Mac/iPad. This means you dont have to grab SunRay client as a hardware, just download the client as a software instead.

This is the error message I get, when I try to startup another bridged VM on my SunRay client:

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine WinXP_SP3

Failed to open/create the internal network 'Host InterfaceNetworking-e1000g0 - Intel PRO/1000 Gigabig Ethernet' (VERR_PERMISSION_DENIED)

Details: Result Code: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005) Component: Console Interface: IConsole {1968b7d3-....cb7c913317bb}

To communicate with me, send me PM on my nick: "Kebabbert". I dont know which VBox.log I should attach. The one on the Solaris PC, or for the SunRay client?
