#1639 duplicate Solaris Virtual box guest keeps getting its time reset after resuming VM from suspend Nagakiran
Description

Virtual Box host : Solaris Nevada, and Windows XP Guest : Solaris Nevada build 85 with guest additions.

I have been seeing lot of time resets recently on my solaris guest, Periodically Solaris guest sees time reset to 1st Jan 1970.

This causes serious inconveniences to secure connections like IPSEC and ssh to behave strangely.

This I normally see when the guest is resumed from saved state. And the time remains in the saved state aswell and resets periodically to 1st jan 1970.

For example running date command every second on the guest produces an output similar to below.

Tue May 27 16:24:17 IST 2008 Thu Jan 1 05:30:00 IST 1970 <==== Thu Jan 1 05:30:01 IST 1970 Thu Jan 1 05:30:02 IST 1970 Tue May 27 16:24:21 IST 2008 Tue May 27 16:24:22 IST 2008 Tue May 27 16:24:23 IST 2008 Tue May 27 16:24:24 IST 2008 Tue May 27 16:24:25 IST 2008 Tue May 27 16:24:26 IST 2008 Thu Jan 1 05:30:00 IST 1970 <====== Thu Jan 1 05:30:01 IST 1970 Thu Jan 1 05:30:02 IST 1970 Tue May 27 16:24:30 IST 2008 Tue May 27 16:24:31 IST 2008 Tue May 27 16:24:32 IST 2008 Tue May 27 16:24:33 IST 2008 Tue May 27 16:24:34 IST 2008 Tue May 27 16:24:35 IST 2008 Tue May 27 16:24:36 IST 2008 Thu Jan 1 05:30:00 IST 1970 <=========== Thu Jan 1 05:30:01 IST 1970 Thu Jan 1 05:30:02 IST 1970 Tue May 27 16:24:40 IST 2008 Tue May 27 16:24:41 IST 2008 Tue May 27 16:24:42 IST 2008 Tue May 27 16:24:43 IST 2008 Tue May 27 16:24:44 IST 2008 Tue May 27 16:24:45 IST 2008

#1641 obsolete RDP mouse scroll wheel behaves as 4 buttins i.s.o. 2 buttons. Matthijs Melchior
Description

Windows XP host, Debian Lenny client, VBoxHeadless, full screen RDP client on localhost. Slowly turning the mouse wheel results in button events, button 4 goes up and button 5 goes down. Turning the mouse wheel faster, then the buttons change to 6 and 7 respectively. This is unexpected and unwanted behavior. [Use xev to see what happens] Please make the mouse wheel behavior independent of the rotation speed.
