| #1744 | fixed | Shared folder doesn't work properly under Vista as guest... | ||
| Description |
On exact the same host (Mandriva 2008 x64), the "Shared Folder" network-provider appears in XP but not in Vista. The only way to access a shared folder in Vista is the command-line (net use ...). Even tried with Vista and UAC disabled => same behavior. Tried the same with XP as host => same results. |

| #1745 | fixed | Read Only Virtual Disk Image hangs on boot instead of reporting error => Fixed SVN | ||
| Description |
Attempting to boot a virtual machine with a read-only VDI file results in a error condition within the virtual machine boot process vs. an error message from Virtual Box. I realize this is a minor issue and it does not make sense to boot a read-only disk file. It would be very helpful if Virtual Box checked for write permission on the VDI file and reported the error (much like when starting a virtual machine with port forwarding and the port is already in use on the host). |
