| #18987 | invalid | VirtualBox 6.0.12 hangs when trying to Import Appliance (.ovf) | ||
| Description |
VirtualBox 6.0.12 hangs when trying to do Import Appliance on MacBook Pro with macOS Mojave. I even tried VirtualBox 6.0.10. Is anybody else faces this issue? I even tried removing existing Vms and uninstalling and reinstalling the VirtualBox. The size of the ovf is 3.19 GB. And I am sure the ovf is not corrupted since many are using the same ovf and it is working fine for them |

| #12660 | duplicate | VirtualBox doesn't capture Super (Windows) key on Ubuntu guest -> duplicate of #10842 | ||
| Description |
I'm running Ubuntu 13.10 with VirtualBox 4.3.6 on the host. I am specifically using a Windows 8.1 guest, although I would assume this problem would manifest w/ any Windows version. If I am in fullscreen mode with my Win 8 guest and hit the <Super> key (i.e. the Windows key), the Windows Start Menu opens as expected. However, that keypress also opens the Ubuntu Unity launcher. Even worse, because the VM is running in fullscreen, you can't actually see the Ubuntu launcher (I figured this out accidentally). If I press <Super> again, it seems close the Ubuntu launcher and refocus the fullscreened VM. A similar behavior seems to occur whenever the <Alt> key is pushed as part of a keyboard shortcut aimed at the guest OS - the intended behavior in the guest occurs, but <Alt> also opens the Ubuntu HUD. This blocks further input to the guest VM until <Alt> is pressed again to dismiss the Ubuntu HUD. (This problem impacts me less personally, as I don't use the Ubuntu HUD and can disable the <Alt> keyboard shortcut.) I have the option "Auto Capture Keyboard" toggled ON. |
