| #8996 | duplicate | Can't run existing VM on new Sandy Bridge computer. | ||
| Description |
I just upgraded my computer to a i5-2500k (Sandy Bridge) processor in an MSI P67A-G45 motherboard. I experienced two different problems. First, the 32-bit WinXP VM I was running previously without problems will hang after it boots when it reaches the login screen. Second, when I tried to install a Windows 7 VM (64-bit) I get a message that "VT-x/AMD-V hardware has been enabled, but is not operational." The 64-bit Windows 7 will not install, even though VT-x is set in the BIOS on the motherboard. |

| #14154 | invalid | Can't seems to get a passing SHA256 on VirtualBox DL | ||
| Description |
I've been trying to verify two different downloads of virtual box for linux hosts using "http://download.virtualbox.org/virtualbox/4.3.28/VirtualBox-4.3-4.3.28_100309_openSUSE123-1.x86_64.rpm" . Both files yield a good md5 check, but the sha256 on my end was 21064639f4364eecf5aa2c4f9645217f. I'm using the FCIV check within win7 to verify the files before they go on my new linux test rig. Please help!!! |

| #18230 | fixed | Can't select the Host's CD drive from the 1st time run wizard, 6.0.x regression -> fixed in 6.0.2 and later | ||
| Description |
Create a VM (any). Start it. The 1st time run wizard asks you to select a bootable medium:
Well, you can't select your host's physical optical drive, your only option is "Empty". You can't select it in the wizard, but you can select it later on in the "Details" pane and in the VM Settings » Storage, no problem there. Tested on physical OSX 10.11.6, a Win10 VM and a Mint 19 VM. Works as expected with 5.2.20... |
