#9102 obsolete Can't resize guest wider than resolution of 1680. Dual screen host. abssorb
Description

Ubuntu 11.04 64 bit host. VirtualBox 4.0.8 installed from the VB repo.

Previous install was 9.10 with VB 4.0.7. Run XP and solaris clients OK and resize across 2x 1680x1050 displays to get one massive virtual machine. Very useful for what I do for business. Essential in fact.

Now in 11.04 with 4.0.8, If I try and resize the guest window, it lets me drag it out as large as possible, but when I release the mouse the guest window resizes to 1680 wide. I can't set it larger. I can move the window around no problem. Other apps will resize larger than 1680 wide.

#5900 fixed Can't restore snapshot by name using VBoxManage James Blair
Description

I am unable to restore a snapshot by name using the VBoxManage command line tool. I can restore snapshots in the GUI, and I can also restore snapshots on the command line using their uuid. I have a branched snapshot hierarchy, but my Current State (location in the hierarchy) doesn't have any effect on my inability to restore by name.

This doesn't work:

vboxmanage snapshot "Windows XP" restore Green

This does:

vboxmanage snapshot "Windows XP" restore 7252c1f2-55b4-47a4-b3d3-4aa69c413534

Relevant (hopefully) XML files attached, along with a UI screenshot for easier visualization of hierarchy.

#6598 fixed Can't resume from saved state is snapshot path not in default location Geoff Nordli
Description

If you set the snapshotfolder to something outside of the Machine folder it will not resume from a saved state.

Running VirtualBox 3.1.6, on either a solaris or linux based host.

This works:

/home/test/.VirtualBox/Machines/test_1/state

where the state folder is a symlink to /mnt/state.

If i set the "snapshotfolder" directly to /mnt/state, then it won't be able to resume.

this is also discussed in this forum thread. http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=25355
