| #3624 | fixed | host interface networking unstable in 2.1.4 | ||
| Description |
Host interface networking works upon startup (I can see promiscuous mode in /var/log/messages) of the VM, but eventually all connections are lost. It isn't even possible to ping the gateway. By contrast NAT seems to work ok. Unfortunately this poses a critical problem since VPN is only supported in Host mode. IPV4 is used so it can't be anything related to IPV6 as mentioned in the manual. Platform is Debian Lenny 64 bit, kernel 2.6.28. |

| #1471 | fixed | host interface networking broken on linux hosts => Fixed in 1.6.2. | ||
| Description |
Since upgrading to 1.6 there are problems with guests that have host interface networking configured. I get the following behaviour from time to time: I can see that network traffic leaves the guest (dhcp requests for example) and that my dhcp server sends dhcp offers packets. The dhcp offer never arrives at the guest. According to the statistics the nic receives zero packets. (using a static ip doesn't help either) I am running ubuntu 8.04 i386. The problem occurs on linux guests and windows guests. However, strangely enough I do not have this problem every time, but it occurs randomly (!!?) If i need to supply more info, let me know! | #7333 | fixed | host harddisk don't get listet by adding image to virtual cd drive | ||
| Description |
As seen in the picture, I created a new VM and want to add the .iso image to the virtual cd drive of the guest for installing the os. But this image is on an other partition than c:. Therefor i selected computer as seen on the screen, but the other hardrives/partitions from the host and the real cd drives of the host don't show up. In 3.2.6 it was possible to mount image from other partitions than c:, as also seen in the picture Regards Albeck |
