#1664 invalid Can't install VirtualBox on Hardy box that previously had VirtualBox-OSE Jon.
Description

Ok, so I should have done a little more digging up front rather than just using the add/remove to install virtual box on my HH box. I did not realize at the time that there were two versions of the VB install and the Add/Remove just installs the OSE version. I'd like to pull it off and install the normal version; however, when I do so, I get the following error:

cannonj@slc34128843ulx:~/ziptest$ sudo dpkg -i virtualbox_1.6.0-30421_Ubuntu_hardy_i386.deb
(Reading database ... 159687 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking virtualbox (from virtualbox_1.6.0-30421_Ubuntu_hardy_i386.deb) ...
dpkg: error processing virtualbox_1.6.0-30421_Ubuntu_hardy_i386.deb (--install):

dpkg-deb: subprocess paste killed by signal (Broken pipe)
Errors were encountered while processing:
 virtualbox_1.6.0-30421_Ubuntu_hardy_i386.deb

Any help would be appreciated.

#1665 wontfix Phenom 9550, 2.6.25-amd64 host: linux guest does not work sv75
Description

I'm using debian unstable.

After upgrading to 2.6.25 kernel and Phenom 9550, I cannot start linux guests anymore. VM and bootloader starts ok, but guests stop working after writing "Ok, booting a kernel" or "Starting up"

VB OSE 1.6 and SVN (1.6.53). Host: 2.6.25-amd64. Guests: 2.6.22-i386 (Ubunta 7.04 and Debian Testing). Custom kernels 2.6-24 guest kernel wrote "SMP motherboard not found" and halted too.

FreeBSD guest works, btw.

#1666 fixed VBoxClient --help Ramon Casha
Description

$ VBoxClient --help

VBoxClient: unrecognized option `--help' Try `VBoxClient --help' for more information

Strangely enough, trying to run VBoxClient with an invalid option like --what DOES give the correct syntax :)
