| #1018 | worksforme | internet connection not working after update | ||
| Description |
I'm quite new to linux and virtualbox..so excuse me if I'm not complete/accurate in describing the problem I've got.. I'm using virtualbox 1.5.2. At the moment my internet connection is not working when using an internetbrowser in virtualbox (need to do so for using websites for ordering printed foto-albums). When using firefox directly in linux everything seems to work normal. The only changes made are: installing java 6 update 3 and installing the latest firefox update current version info firefox Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; nl; rv:1.8.1.9) Gecko/20071025 Firefox/2.0.0.11 I've searched the forum for the applicable keywords, but unfortunately couldn't find anything that could seem of use... |

| #11973 | obsolete | internet access blocked in bridged network | ||
| Description |
My Network configuration consists of following clients with listed static IPs:
I am using an USB2Ethernet Adapter at Host-USB which is configured in Bridged mode. Guest has 3 vNIC:
I was able to ping Host from Guest and from external embedded device. But I was unable to ping embedded device and Guest vice versa. Changing adapter type and switching several services off did not change anything. There are lots of advices in the internet which do not lead to any success. Eventually I stumbled over this post: http://forums.opensuse.org/english/get-technical-help-here/network-internet/422817-destination-host-unreachable.html#post2047168 The issue vanished after switching VM to use only one vCPU. In addition now I am unable to reproduce the issue by resetting the vCPU to 2. I opened this bug report because this issue is well known (regarding the internet). I want to get this issue in scope of the developers and to provide a possible workaround. |

| #1507 | fixed | internalcommands createrawvmdk fails to register with -register option if destination vmdk is not a full path | ||
| Description |
If you do not specify the full pathname of the destination vmdk file then the -register parameter will fail to actually do the registration. It completes the pathname based on the default location rather than the current location that you are actually at. The vmdk file does get created however and can be registered manually. OS is Windows XP. Output below: E:\DD-WRT>"c:\Program Files\Sun\xVM VirtualBox\VBoxManage.exe" internalcommands createrawvmdk -filename Debian_Raw.vmdk -rawdisk \.\PhysicalDrive1 -partitions 1,5 -register VirtualBox Command Line Management Interface Version 1.6.0 (C) 2005-2008 Sun Microsystems, Inc.
