#21122 invalid Null reference error starting machine, startup aborts SeemsLikeALotOfWorkToSubmitOneBugTicket
Description

See attached screenshot for the error encountered.

Reproducable for me via:

  1. Download a Linux Virtualbox image, I tried a couple, the following Kubuntu image is the last one I tried:

https://www.osboxes.org/kubuntu/

  1. Create a new image. Linux, Ubuntu, 64-bit, 4GB RAM.
  1. Attach a USB device, set settings to USB 3.0. The device in question for me is a Seagate portable HDD.
  1. Start the machine. It will begin to start and will encounter the null reference error and abort. Screenshot attached.

It appears that not attaching the USB device will allow the system to boot.

#21120 duplicate Restoring a saved Guest does not restore the saved display size MacNala2
Description

To produce the error. Start a Windows 10 Guest and when idle save the guest, noting the screen display size. Restart the guest VM and note the screen size after allowing time for guest to become idle. Note the screen size is NOT the same as the saved guest VM was. This happens whether the guest VM is Windows 10 or Windows 11. In some cases, the correct screen display size is created at the beginning of the restore but is changed to 640x480 when the restore is completed.
