Please help, I am on Mac OS X 10.6.3 as the HOST OS. My guest OS is Windows VISTA. Everytime I try to boot, the Guest os/vm crashes and I am returned to the vbox vm selection menu. No error message or anything. PLEASE HELP, I have very important files on my vm |

So I have Mac OS X as my host, Windows Vista as the guest, I boot Vista, it does it's little loading bar then the screen goes black and on the top bar where the minimize buttons are, it says [Running] then for a split second it says [Stopping] then [Stopped] and then closes completely and returns to the Virtual Machine Application where you can view the settings of your VMs |

If an OpenGL application crashes (windowed mode), the black square remains where OpenGL drawing area was. This square can change color if something from the host OS was above it (in short it is just not redrawn). There's no way of removing that square except turning virtual machine off and starting it again. Screenshot is attached. You can see two weird areas on a screen. |
