Die Anwendung wird nun beendet. Callee RC:CO_E_SERVER_EXEC_FAILURE (0x80080005) Running the application as a standard user it runs but I can not use Oracle_VM_VirtualBox_Extension_Pack-4.2.10-84104.vbox-extpack because of missing privileges. | #7483 | obsolete | Can Not Exceed 60 Concurrent Sessions (3.1.4 and 3.2.8) | ||
| Description |
When running > 60 guest sessions in Windows 2003 (x86, DL580 G5 VT Enabled, 8 core, 64Gb memory) the sessions will never "power off". When we go to power off a guest session it will just sit in a italiced "power off/powering off" state where vboxmanage controlvm *vmname* poweroff or acpishutdown will not affect it.This occured in version 3.1.4 so we decided to upgrade to 3.2.8 where the issue is still present. If we are running < 60 sessions these guests will spin up and down just fine. Attached is a VM in this state |

| #3703 | worksforme | Can VBox link guest hard disks to a host partition? -> already implemented | ||
| Description |
Hi, I have had VirtualBox (I call it VBox for short) since I installed Ubuntu on my Toshiba Satellite laptop. Unfortunately, the processor on that pc is a 32 bit so I either use another pc for it or I just look around Microsoft Virtual PC (of which I don't like as much as VBox as it only uses one core). Nevertheless, on another pc of mine (of which I am very proud to say that I use XP embedded and the only app I use on it VBox and (rarely) VPC) I have set up Ubuntu 6.10 (I have a 8.10 disc but has no live cd function) with VBox with four hdds (one of the 4 are SATA-controlled)-- 3 at 150gb and my main one 200gb. Ok, nuff said, here's my question to anybody who could do a bit of special coding for me, or the VBox team can do it in their next update: is there anything I can do to be able to use a partition on my host pc as a hdd or partition on any guest pc? Thanks. =) P.s. I am not 100% sure what version my VBox is, as I am not at a pc at the moment (in case you're wondering, I'm at a blackberry) and I DEFINENTLY don't have the latest version but I've probaly got one of the latest 4 to 5 versions. Ill just say I have ver 2.1.2 for the moment. |
