| #2633 | fixed | code with memory type execution | ||
| Description |
I'm testing linux native suspend to disk in virtualbox guest. When resuming, the linux kernel loads all stored memory from swap partition into ram and then executes it. This is where virtualbox complains, because guest tries to execute arbitrary memory. I understand, that this assert in virtualbox is needed for security, however it would be a nice feature if native suspend to disk worked even on virtualized machines. There is no reason to fix this, other then testing the suspend to disk linux feature (yes, I can always "save machine state" instead). Feel free to wontfix/invalid this bug, if you don't want to allow execution of arbitrary memory in guest machines. |

| #2634 | fixed | Cannot change Shared Folder permissions | ||
| Description |
I sucessfully auto mounted the Shared Folders with the following entry in fstab:
However the permissions for the folder remain 777. Also tried using chmod to change the permissions to no avail. Whatever I try the permissions always remain rwx for everyone. I'm running Windows Vista SP1 (host) + VirtualBox 2.0.4 + Ubuntu 8.10 (guest) |

| #2635 | fixed | odd movement of circular progress cursor with Ubuntu 8.10 guest, Mac OS X host | ||
| Description |
I've installed Ubuntu 8.10 on VirtualBox 2.04 running in a Mac OS X host (Mac Pro, but the same bug happens when VB is installed on a MacBook Pro). The install goes smoothly, but there is a video problem with the circular progress cursor: it jumps around within a one-inch radius back and forth while active (usually diagonally). I noticed this behavior in Ubuntu 8.04 as well. This is purely a visual defect; no functionality is lost as far as I can tell, but it's amazingly annoying. |
