| #2558 | fixed | Windows XP guest crashes once at first startup | ||
| Description |
I'm running Ubuntu 8.10 on my work laptop. In VirtualBox 2.0.4 I run Windows XP SP3 as guest. Every day when I go home I shut down my Windows XP guest, and on first start the next morning it ALWAYS crashes. Any subsequent starts works fine, even if it's shut down properly. The logs show nothing on why this happens (see attached log-file). I have been able to create a coredump now. $ lsb_release -a No LSB modules are available. | #2559 | fixed | Auto-resize doesn't work in Ubuntu 8.10 | ||
| Description |
I just updated my Guest to Ubuntu 8.10, and also installed the current guest additions from VirtualBox 2.0.4. Since the update, automatic guest resize doesn't work anymore. Everytime I resize the Host Window, Ubuntu switches to 1280x1024. However, the correct Resolution is listed under System->Preferences->Screen Resolution (always as the 3rd entry in the list). It just doesn't do the right thing automatically when resizing the window. |

| #2561 | fixed | Clipboard doesn't work with fresh Ubuntu 8.10 installlation | ||
| Description |
With Win XP Pro host, and Ubuntu 8.10, copy/paste didn't work for text today. I'm not sure if it has ever worked, because I'm used to working clipboards. Restarted, still didn't work. I've set the clipboard to host->guest, restarted, and it worked. I then set it back to bidirectional, and now it works both ways again. Weirdest thing is that I think it worked just after installing the guest additions. |
