#16659 worksforme Failed to open the disk image file Vadim R.
Description

Hi there,

I've got an issue. I've created VMDK RAW file with command line:

VBoxManage internalcommands createrawvmdk -filename E:\VHD\W10CU.vmdk -rawdisk
.\PhysicalDrive2 -partitions 2

and it was created with no issues, however I\m not able to use it with error below:

Failed to open the disk image file E:\VHD\W10CU.vmdk.

Permission problem accessing the file for the medium 'E:\VHD\W10CU.vmdk' (VERR_ACCESS_DENIED).

#10206 obsolete Unable to restore a saved-state virtual XP. Failed to load unit 'HGCM' (VERR_SSM_UNEXPECTED_DATA) Giangi
Description

I cannot restore a saved state guest, my specific error (really cryptic!!) is not documented anywhere...

The restore reach 99% and then: Failed to open a session for the virtual machine WKSRE11968XP-Enia. Failed to load unit 'HGCM' (VERR_SSM_UNEXPECTED_DATA). Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005) Component: Console Interface: IConsole {1968b7d3-e3bf-4ceb-99e0-cb7c913317bb}

I guess it's related to a change on the clipboard sharing I've done before saving the guest.

I always have troubles with clipboard sharing, I use Terminals (http://terminals.codeplex.com/) as RDP manager and I use it to manage my virtual XP too! I found out that if I keep the clipboard sharing on with "bidirectional" the clipboard stops working after the first "copy" operation. Since RDP protocol has its own clipboard sharing I keep VBox to "disable" and I do not have any problems.

Well, yesterday I had to do changes on my virtual guest without networking so I used it directly via the console, of course clipboard sharing wasn't working because was "disabled"... I re-enabled it but after the final shutdown I have forgot to disable again!

Today I started working to the guest via RDP and when the clipboard stopped working I realized I left it "bidirectional" on the vbox guest! I changed it while the guest was working. I had to reboot my host (Seven 32bit) and to do it quicker I didn't powered off the guest but saved it...

Now I cannot resume it, I didn't try to discard the saved state yet because I want to keep it... But after creating this ticket I will have to discard it otherwise I won't be able to work...

#14833 invalid NAT doesn't work behind Microsoft Forefront TMG server Giangi
Description

I have upgraded my VB from 4.3.12 directly to 5.0.10 and now none of my guests configured as NAT are able to navigate.

This ticket is related to this forum post: https://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=74498#p344920 I have found this bug report #13292 but is for an older VB release (v4)

I'm primarily using VB on a network which has Microsoft Forefront TMG as proxy/firewall. I do have full admin access on TMG and enabling the logging I do not see any errors but I do not see any "real traffic" too, just the start/close session

On my pc I have the Forefront TMG Client installed and enabled, could it be that its DLLs are being blocked?

In the logs there are many references to these DLLs, like the following.
