| #8747 | invalid | Bridging VBox guest interface to Windows 7 VPN interface not possible | ||
| Description |
Hi, I just tried to bridge my Windows XP guest interface to a Windows 7 host VPN connection, which has been established, but it is not listed in the list of network connections that are possible to get bridged to. Can anyone help please? Thanks, Brian! |

| #970 | fixed | Bridging causes FireStarter to fail. | ||
| Description |
The bridging feature found in vbox is very very complex and requuires too much low level configuration. Worst of all it does not play well with FireStarter. I think a GUI interface would be much better. It would be nice if we could just simply choose bride/host and the sytemm will then do all the configuration in the background that will not break eth0. |

| #735 | fixed | Bridging in Windows XP does not work properly with Wireless adapters | ||
| Description |
Users of Windows XP are unable to create a proper bridge against a VirtualBox Host Interface when a wireless adapter is involved. Windows XP will show that the bridge was created successfully but connectivity is not present. This is due to lack of support for promiscuous mode in the majority of wireless adapters on the market.
A workaround has been identified that will resolve the issue but is not guaranteed to work for everyone.
And documentation in the Technet that mentions how network bridging works in Windows XP |
