| #6771 | invalid | Windows 7 64-bit client launch stops fan! | ||
| Description |
On my ASUS M51VA notebook, the fan is controlled by a script and a C program. Depending on the CPU temp readings, they set the correct fan speed. When I launch Windows 7 64-bit client under Fedora 11 and the latest Virtualbox, the "fan.c" code crashes, returning segmentation fault. This causes CPU to overhead to over 100 degrees C. If I reboot the machine and do not launch virtualbox, the fan.c works fine setting the correct fan speed. |
