| #11676 | obsolete | Bridged network adapter not working after latest update | ||
| Description |
Been using Ubuntu guest on Windows 7 for some time with little problem, and running regular VirtualBox updates as they came out. I use the bridge network adapter to give Ubuntu network connection. Just ran the latest update today (v. 4.2.10 r84104), after which my network adapter (on windows host) stopped working. When I go into the network settings and untick the virtualbox bridged network adapter, I get my network back. When I start Ubuntu I get an error: Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005) Component: Console Interface: IConsole {db7ab4ca-2a3f-4183-9243-c1208da92392} My network controller is a: Realtek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Family PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.20) |

| #12265 | obsolete | Bridged network bug - Only One MAC works | ||
| Description |
Hello. I have the following problem: Virtual machine network is configured to be bridged to eth0 and the virtual MAC is 08002701F5BA. If only I change the MAC, for example last character: 08002701F5BB - the guest fails to identify the network adapter.
Changing the MAC back to 08002701F5BA fixes the problem. Details: Host: Ubuntu 12.04, Guest Ubuntu 12.04 server. |
