| #2322 | fixed | Shortcut for guest OS on desktop -> fixed in SVN | ||
| Description |
Wouldn't it be great if user can create guest OS shochcut on their desktop? User just need to setup all the guest OS setting, then right click and select "create guest OS shortcut" ? From now on, user can launch the guest os from Desktop, bravo I know that we can always run VBoxManage.exe startvm <name of guest OS> from command line, user can write a script file easily to do the job. IMO it is the best to let the GUI does the job. Idea came from google chrome, and i believe that it is not difficult to implement :-) |

| #2326 | fixed | There is no way to recover an saved virtual machine from an older version of VirtualBox | ||
| Description |
When trying to start a virtual machine of mine I get an alert sheet with a single "OK" button saying: Unable to restore the virtual machine's saved state from '/Users/lars/Library/VirtualBox/Machines/FreeBSD 7.0/Snapshots/{aed10561-3b8b-4bf3-3e8c-a63e0af8c828}.sav'. It may be damaged or from an older version of VirtualBox. Please discard the saved state before starting the virtual machine. VBox status code: -1822 (VERR_SSM_DATA_UNIT_FORMAT_CHANGED). Fehlercode: NS_ERROR_FAILURE (0x80004005) Komponente: Console Interface: IConsole {d5a1cbda-f5d7-4824-9afe-d640c94c7dcf} as soon as I click "OK" the machine is shut down. I would be really good if I could somehow recover from that situation, like having an option to reset the VM would be sufficient here. |
