#1724 obsolete Guru Meditation -2403 (VERR_TRPM_DONT_PANIC) during guest rPath LAMP appliance installation smitna
Description

Description

VirtualBox generates a "Guru Meditation -2403 (VERR_TRPM_DONT_PANIC)" on a wide range of host platforms during a guest installation of the rPath LAMP appliance version 1.3.2.1 (x86).

Steps to reproduce

  1. If necessary, download the LAMP 1.3.2.1 (x86) ISO image.
  2. Create a new Linux 2.6 virtual machine. Set the boot hard disk to a new VDI created with default settings (i.e. dynamically expanding, 8G). Set the CD/DVD-ROM device to the ISO image from step 1.
  3. Start the new virtual machine and boot from CD/DVD-ROM.
  4. Press the enter key at the "boot:" prompt to install or upgrade in graphical mode.
  5. At the "Welcome to LAMP appliance" dialog, click Next.
  6. At the "Language Selection" dialog, click Next.
  7. At the "Keyboard Configuration" dialog, click Next. The exception is triggered as the installer is "Searching for LAMP appliance installations..." (please see screenshot).

#1730 obsolete VirtualBox installation failure on Windows Bard
Description

When I try to install VirtualBox 1.6.2, at the end of the installation it says "Rolling back action", removes all previously installed files and then the installation gives me the following message: "Sun xVM VirtualBox setup ended prematurely because of an error. Your system has not been modified. To install this program at a later time, please run the installation again." UAC is disabled, I'm using the Administrator account and the last updates are installed. Computer is a Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450. I also have tried this on another PC (AMD Athlon 64 3400+, using Vista 64 SP1 too, and it worked fine) I have tried closing at first and even uninstalling later all software that could create issues (Firewall, Antivirus, ...) I'll include the MSI log (for the little I managed to understand from that it does seem that the issue is an error while installing some drivers)

#1762 obsolete OSX: Dock should not disappear when running full screen on secondary display -> Fixed in SVN Calum Benson
Description

When my MacBook Pro is connected to an external monitor, I run VirtualBox full screen on the external monitor, but keep my OSX menubar and dock on the laptop display.

When I switch focus to VirtualBox, the dock disappears. This should only happen if VB is running on the same display as the dock.
