#7754 obsolete Windows 7 often eats touch events on desktop host Steve Lemke
Description

I've searched existing tickets and forum threads but haven't found any mention of this problem.

When running VirtualBox on a Windows 7 host with a touch screen, it seems that Windows is often eating "touch" events (especially if they are touch/drag events) and processing them into "back" and "forward" gestures -- as indicated by the icon that Windows displays at the location of the touch. Whether or not this happens appears to be related to how long the initial touch is before you move your finger on the screen.

This happens even with mouse integration enabled, and effectively prevents many touch/drag events from getting posted to the guest, or presumably even seen by VirtualBox.

I would think that in this mode (mouse integration enabled), the VirtualBox GUI should tell the Windows host to NOT interpret/process any touch events in the VirtualBox guest window, but just pass them through unmodified (and ideally sooner) to VirtualBox so they can be passed onto the guest.

Longer-term, it would be great if VirtualBox could pass multiple touch events through from any host to any guest, since Mac OS X, Windows 7 and Ubuntu 10.10 all support multi-touch now.

#7755 obsolete google chrome crash linux host when windows client is using usb to connect to E71 cellphone cary co
Description

I'm using an Ubuntu 64bit Linux as host, running VBox with a brand new Windows XP3 guest. The guest's only new software installed is the Nokia Ovi Suite, which I use to manage my E71 cellphone thru USB. Now, when the cellphone is connected, if I start Google Chrome in the host, the whole host crashes suddenly.

When VBox is not started, or I'm not using my cellphone, Chrome works fine.

I don't notice other problems on the host can cause this problem.

I'm attaching a VBox.log file.

Note: I once installed KVM, so a "sudo rmmod kvm-intel" is needed before running VBox. Don't know if there is a connection.

#7757 obsolete Clipboard not working Nazar
Description

Host Windows XP SP2 Guests: Windows XP SP3, Windows 2000 SP4

For the above the clipboard is not functioning both ways despite the bi-directional setting enabled. Also tried un-installing GA, rebooting and re-installing GA 3.2.10 but still is not functioning.

The only current workaround I have is to logout->login or reboot the Guest after which the clipboard functions but stops working shortly afterwards.

Strangely enough, I have a Debian 5.0 Guest that does not have a problem with the clipboard... on second thoughts, that Guest is running GA 3.2.6
