#1808 fixed Ejecting a mounted CD/DVD-ROM image by guest OS does not unmount it Tomer Shalev
Description

Setup

  • Host OS: Windows XP Home Edition SP3, VirtuaBox 1.6.2
  • Guest OS: Ubuntu 8.04

To reproduce

  • Mount a CD/DVD-ROM image to the guest OS.
  • Eject the mounted media device by the guest OS (right-click the CD icon on the desktop, and choose 'Eject'.

Expected results

  • The user expects to have that CD/DVD-ROM image automatically unmounted. In case he wants to load that image back to the guest OS, he knows he can mount it through the VirtualBox GUI.

Observed results

  • The disk disappears from the guest OS (OK).
  • The image is still considered mounted by VirtualBox.
  • It is possible to manually unmount it, and that's fine.
  • It is not possible to load the image back to the guest OS, unless manually unmounting it first.
#1809 wontfix Visible indication as for which CD/DVD-ROM image is mounted Tomer Shalev
Description

In the 'CD/DVD Images' dialog box ('Devices' -> 'Mount CD/DVD-ROM' -> 'CD/DVD-ROM Image...') it is not obvious for the user which images are currently mounted, and which are not. The user must iterate over all the images listed, and figure out which one is mounted.

#1971 worksforme Corrupt screen during resolution change Tomer Shalev
Description

This is a minor issue. It has only 'cosmetics' effect. When changing the guest resolution, either by switching back and forth full-screen mode, or by resizing the guest OS windows, there is a short (<1 sec) corruption in the display.

This occurs on my Windows Vista host. It happens with Windows XP guest.. It also happens with Ubuntu 8.04 guest (for a very short period of time).

This bug is somehow annoying when frequently resizing the window size, or when frequently switching back and forth of full-screen mode.
