| Description |
The installer fails while validating packages, and reports the following on the summary page: "The installation failed. The installer encountered an error that caused the installation to fail. Contact the software manufacturer for assistance." Clicking Allow in the "System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Allow apps downloaded from:" section when the lock is open does not allow the install to go ahead. Enabling the "Anywhere" option using "sudo spctl --master-disable" doesn't work. In System Information, under Software > Disabled Software, the kexts listed in the accompanying screenshot are disabled. |
