Description

hello

Host = debian 2.6.8 Guest = windows 2003 server Guest addition installed I have a shared directory i map my network drive with "net use ...." with windows I start the guest in VRDP mode

I have to encode MPEG video with windows media encoder (command line version). So, from the host i send a ssh command to copssh installed on guest, and i can encode my video in wmv format But when i encode lot of video ( one by one) i have a problem because it stop (pause) after a random time (sometimes 2 hours, sometimes 40 hours). But the Virtual machine don't crash ! How can i find, detect and solve the problem ? is it a shared folders bug ? Is it a load problem ?

#1320 fixed Slow boot time while restarting windows xp in ubuntu gutsy x64 host Even Larsen
Description

When I restart my windows xp sp2 pro in virtualbox it's really slow to boot. To fix this I turn of the virtual machine in the boot sequence and start it again, the boot menu will appear and I select boot normally. And windows xp will boot at normal boot speed. The next time i try to restart I have to do the same. This will also happen if i turn of the virtual machine with windows xp, and the next time I power it on it will be slow to boot. This is not the case with windows vista. The guest is windows xp sp2 with the latest updates, the host is ubuntu gutsy x64 with the latest updates.
