| #12907 | obsolete | win98 dos application behaves differently on linux host than on windows host | ||
| Description |
Hi,
I did all my research and successfully migrated a win98 computer to virtualbox on my Linux host the program encountered a general protection exception Fault Location 4797:0E7C Interrupts in service: None
I am not able to replicate this error on the Linux machine.
In my investigation I have read that the vbe9x driver can cause issues with DOS apps, but I have read nothing that indicates that should be influenced by a change from one host to another. |

| #8626 | obsolete | win7-64 host crashes vm window after hibernate | ||
| Description |
I have a Toshiba Satellite C660D running Windows 7 64-bit host. I'm running Ubuntu 32-bit 10.04 as guest. When I finish work for the evening, I pause the vm window, then put the host into hibernate. 10-20% of the time when I start the laptop again in the morning the VM window is unresponsive (i.e. doesn't repaint, menu not working, not responding notice in the window title). Virtualbox is still running okay, though, and claims the vm has been aborted. I'm attaching a log which does show some kind of error at the end. |

| #8845 | fixed | win7 guest freezes after a while | ||
| Description |
I'm using Fedora 14 (X86) as host and win7 (32 bits as host). I installed win7, disabled 3D, office 2003 and IE9. I basically open a windows with 2-3 tabs and just leave it open on pages with flash, and it's being freezing after a while. The problem does not affect the host OS at all, and I don't see anything special in the Log file (I'm enclosing it). In terms of hardware, I tried with 2 graphic cards: Geforce 8800 and GT 210, 6GB RAM, Core2Duo E8300 processor. Guest OS: Windows 7 32 bits, 1.5GB RAM,40GB disk (dynamic). Log file enclosed |
