mouse cursor wraps around
|
|
apfr
|
| Description |
host OS: Win XP
guest OS: linux 2.6 (openSuse 10.2 wit KDE), guest additios installed
Sometimes after using a fullscreen SDL application, mouse cursor movements cease to be limided to the visible screen. When the mouse is moved beyond a screen border, it reappears on the opposite side. Moreover, the position of the visible cursor is not related to its location on the desktop. This happens when mouse integration is turned off, with active mouse integration the cursor is always where it should be.
The problem does not seem to be caused by the guest system (neither resetting it nor going back to a prevous version of the hd image helps). In virtualbox 1.3.4, removing the system and re-adding it (with the same old hd image) solved the problem, in vb 1.3.6 this does not help any more.

mouse cursor can't move in the direction where the VM window is stepping outside the screen

Mihai Hanor
|
| Description |
I can reproduce this on a XP SP3 32 bit host, using 2 guests:
- XP SP3 32 bit, VT-X and NX enabled; 2D,3D enabled, GA installed in safe mode
- live disto SLAX 6.1.2, no NX, no VT-X, no usb, no audio, no network, no 2D&3D acceleration, no GA; text mode session, gpm enabled (mouse server)
The cursor is having very hard time moving torward the VM window's edge(s) that are outside the visible screen. Keyboard&mouse input must be captured.

mouse curser delay in debian 6.0.1 -> testing branch(also 6.0.2 and following in there)
|
|
maninred2
|
| Description |
I´ve brought debian 6.0.1 to the testing branch of debian(complete system), which also brought kernel 3.0.0 with it.->and other stuff that is much more newer than in debian stable.
I observe a delay of the mouse pointer between the icon of the host(white one) and the pointer of the guest(black one). Not much, but it is there.
