| #6285 | obsolete | navigating menus of guest windows using keyboard doesn't work | ||
| Description |
When I have a guest window in focus but the keyboard uncaptured, I cannot navigate the menu using the keyboard. For example, I should be able to hit <alt>+<M> and pull down the "Machine" menu, or hit <alt>+<D> and pull down the "Devices" menu. Neither of these work. I can activate actions within the menus, like hitting <host>+<n> to get session information. But I can't get to the menus themselves. |

| #17611 | wontfix | natdnshostresolver breaks gpg key importing | ||
| Description |
The initial need was to resolve on a Linux guest the host's /etc/hosts entries and also to resolve both LAN and VPN addresses when VPN is established on host. I made the following preferences: VBoxManage modifyvm "vmname" --natdnspassdomain1 on
VBoxManage modifyvm "vmname" --natdnsproxy1 off
VBoxManage modifyvm "vmname" --natdnshostresolver1 on
Eventually I needed to verify a coreutils tarball signature and I ran: [il@arch ~]$ gpg --keyserver keys.gnupg.net --recv-keys DF6FD971306037D9
gpg: keyserver receive failed: Server indicated a failure
No communication was made with keys.gnupg.net, but there was a suspicious DNS talk: [root@arch il]# sudo tcpdump -i enp0s8 -nn
tcpdump: verbose output suppressed, use -v or -vv for full protocol decode
listening on enp0s8, link-type EN10MB (Ethernet), capture size 262144 bytes

Temporary changing the guest's /etc/resolv.conf to a non-Vbox dns server allowed me to import the key. |

| #13695 | duplicate | nataliasmode1 --sameports does not function | ||
| Description |
Configuration: VirtualBox on Windows 7 using NAT, a bridged adapter and a host-only adapter. Guest OS is FreeBSD 10.0 VBoxManage modifyvm "FreeBSD-Router-10.0" --nataliasmode1 sameports does not work (it appears to be ignored). The command succeeds, however there no effect on the NAT behavior. I have tried a number of versions back to 3.2.16, and it does not work there either. Have absolute verification that the ports ARE being changed by:
This is a complete show stopper because we depend on NFS mounts in a development environment. The issue is actually affecting a lot of people. No, unfortunately, we cannot modify the NFS server. Already have dents in my forehead trying to get that through!! I will test anything you would like. Can provide information, VMs, etc. if needed. THANKS !!!! Regards, Steve |
