| #3788 | worksforme | network inconsistencies with ubuntu 8.10 host and gentoo guest | ||
| Description |
When starting a VM with NAT networking gentoo gets an address of 10.0.2.15 from 10.0.2.2 but no outside network connections can be made. 10.0.2.x addresses are pingable but anything in my network (not 10.x.x.x but 192.x.x.x) is not. also, when using bridged networking the guest only will get a valid address every other time the vm is booted. If it gets a valid address, connectivity isn't an issue as it is above. |

| #13905 | fixed | network drops in 4.3.22 | ||
| Description |
It appears some kind of network bug was introduced in 4.3.22 I switched back to 4.3.20 and the issue is not present. After upgrading to 4.3.22, the networking in all my VMs (3 different linux versions, as well as windows) disconnects intermittently, on the order of every minute or two, then immediately reconnects. This has the unfortunate effect of clobbering any active ssh sessions, for instance. I downgraded back to 4.3.20, and the problem is not present. I don't really have a good way to provide more info, but let me know if there is something you would like me to do to try to do so. |
