| #1517 | obsolete | "Xorg -configure" messes up the display | ||
| Description |
The command "Xorg -configure", designed to probe hardware for Xorg, locks up the OS running inside VirtualBox and you have to reset the VM. Xorg -configure is used in Puppy Linux if you choose the Xorg option, as well as in PC-BSD. Neither works properly. Most other distributions work. |

| #5218 | duplicate | "crtl + v" into description crashes VBox in WindowsXP | ||
| Description |
I have this issue since v2 and it’s not yet solved in v3. Sometimes (and I haven’t figured just when and what’s causing it) VBox gets unresponsive when I paste some text (with “crtl + v”) in the snapshot or in the machine description. It leaves me no other option but to kill it through task manager (and sometimes a reboot is required as task manager cannot kill it!). It would be very nice if someone looked into this. I will post more if I ever figure what’s causing it. Kind regards, Davor |

| #3256 | fixed | "dead keys" do not work any more -> fixed in SVN | ||
| Description |
On a SX:CE build 104 host, running VirtualBox 2.1.2, german layout usb keyboard: The accent key ( ' and ` -- to the left of the backspace key) does not work. This key is sometimes quite important for Solaris' grub, which does not use localized keyboard keymaps and assumes an us-english keymap: on an us-english keyboard the ' / ` key corresponds to the = / + key. I can't edit the grub boot command line and add an option like "-B key=value" because there's no way to type the "=" key. Other users have reported similar issues with Spanish and Swedish keyboard layouts: http://forums.virtualbox.org/viewtopic.php?t=13995 |
