| #10923 | wontfix | no audio upstream whit rdesktop-vrdp | ||
| Description |
Here there! We are using an Intel Xeon dual CPU server with 48 GB RAM running Debian 6.0.5. We've installed the „Squeeze“ AMD64 VBox V4.1.18 DEB file without any problems. The server runs 15 VBoxHeadless machines with Windows 7 Pro 64Bit guests simultaneously -- in principle without any problems. Terminals connect via rdesktop-vrdp client on linux machines running Debian 6.0.5 i386 an VBox V4.1.18. The hereby reported bug affects the audio upstream feature for RDP-connections from the linux terminals. Connecting an VM from a Debian Linux terminal via rdesktop-vrdp there is no audio upstream! If we connect a VM via Microsoft's RDP-Client V7 in Windows 7 audio upstream works fine whith a short delay. About 0,5 to 1 second. The VMs are configured as follows: VRDP enabled, MultiConn on, ReuseSingleConn off, Authetication off The terminal options are: rdesktop-vrdp -beEfNz -r sound:local (...) Do you have any glue how to solve or avoid this problem? Thanks! Synventics, Germany |

| #5917 | fixed | no audio device could be opened | ||
| Description |
When I install ubuntu 9.10 or ubuntu 10.04 (alpha), at reboot, after installation ends, the following pop-up message appears (I have an italian installation): "no audio devices could be opened. Selecting the null audio backend with the consequence that no sound is audible ID erroreHostAudioNotResponding Gravità: Attenzione" The strange thing is that at this point not only audio device is not usable anymore in the host system, but also the whole gnome desktop (I cannot logout anymore). To fix this issue (both on the guest and host system) I have to reboot the host O.S. No issues happen if I install, for example, ubuntu 8.04 (actual LTS version). Tested with VirtualBox 3.1.0 r55467 on Ubuyntu 8.04 x86 |
