| #7396 | obsolete | FreeTSD: failed to destroy key when starting a Windows VM | ||
| Description |
When starting a Windows (XP, NT4) VM via VBoxHeadless, the following error appears on the console: $ VBoxHeadless -s winxp FreeTSD: failed to destroy key: Undefined error: 0 VBoxHeadless(27472,0xb058b000) malloc: *** error for object 0x11ce50: double free *** set a breakpoint in malloc_error_break to debug The VM gets started normally however and is running just fine. So, despite the "error" it's just a warning. I've seen this for a while now and a quick search reveals that this warning has been there in 3.2.6 too. I don't know about earlier releases though. My host system (and the system in the blogentry above) is MacOS 10.6.4. I'm running in 32bit mode now, don't know if this happens for other host types too. |

| #7397 | obsolete | Windows Win2k Server VM freezes with Virtualbox Guest Additions installed | ||
| Description |
Hallo, on our HP Server (64Bit) there is Version 3.2.8 of VirtualBox running. The VM contains a Win2k Exchange Server (32Bit) wich runs most of the time very well. But from time to time the complete VM freezes. Everytime we need a few reboots to make them run again. All this appears if the Virtualbox Guest Additions are installed. If we remove the Guest Additions the machine normally powers up again without the many reboots and freezes. Is there a chance to get the VM normaly running with the Guest Additions installed? Thanks in advance. Yours faithfully Fischer |

Steps to recreate: launch VirtualBox > open Virtual Media Manager > select CD/DVD Images tab > press Add button > in the file selection window press My Computer button. There are no drives or items shown, the window is empty. When trying to access a disk drive from the dropdown list VirtualBox hangs at some drives and doesn't recover. |
