| #12242 | fixed | virtualbox interfaces not created in OS X Mavericks | ||
| Description |
I had running ok Virtualbox 4.2.x under Mountain Lion. After upgrading to Mavericks, I can't launch any virtual host, they gave me an error that vboxnet1 cannot be opened (I use two network interfaces in all my virtual hosts). I've upgraded to version 4.3 and it worked but, every time I reboot the computer, I can no longer launch the virtual hosts, I have the same error with vboxnet1. The only workaround I found is to reinstall Virtualbox, but it's insane to have to reinstall the package every time I need to use virtualbox. |

| #12372 | duplicate | Virtualbox prevents the computer from shutting down in Mavericks! | ||
| Description |
I'm using OS X on a Macbook Pro with 16Gb of RAM, since I've upgraded to Mavericks I have lots of problems with Virtualbox, but the most annoying one is that, after I launched any virtual host, it's impossible to shut down the computer (even if I close Virtualbox first), the only way to stop it is doing a cold reset (pressing and holding the shutdown button on the Macbook pro). Please notice that the computer shuts down perfectly if I have't used Virtualbox during the session, the problem ONLY occurs after I run Virtualbox. |

| #3131 | duplicate | Guru Meditation 1103 (VINF_EM_DBG_HYPER_ASSERTION) | ||
| Description |
One of my VirtualBox virtual machines crashed today while it was performing a rather intensive computing task in MATLAB. It said to report the bug, so here it is. The log shows an assertion failed somewhere: !!Assertion Failed!!

I'm running VirtualBox 2.1.2 (from the repository linked to on the Download page) on an Ubuntu (8.04) Linux host (Linux 2.6.24-23-generic #1 SMP i686 GNU/Linux), an Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5750 @ 2.00GHz with 3G RAM. The guest OS is Windows XP SP3. The virtual machine had 1G RAM. At the time of the crash 2 virtual machines with 1G RAM were running. Both were using the same base disk image, the crashed one was differencing due to snapshot, and it's base disk image attached (with the blue star) to the other one too as differencing disk. Both VMs were started using the GUI. At the time of the crash probably both machines were doing computations in MATLAB at 100% CPU and 250-750 MB RAM usage. (I do not know for sure since I was away.) I'll attach the log and I can provide further info on request. |
