#7399 duplicate openSUSE Factory (Bug #635339) - Error: 'could not switch the monitor configuration' may be 'xorg-x11-server' phillip@…
Description

openSUSE 11.4 was working fine as guest until doing a 'zypper dup' on 28/08/2010

I am a newbie and willing to learn, looks like vboxadd-x11 requires additional coding. May be a new driver? vboxvideo_drv_18.so

I did share with the SUSE Community and after 3 days though I will share here too.

Thanks for a great product :-)

#11492 fixed openSUSE 12.2 boots into emergency mode after new kernel update MikeM
Description

I have an openSUSE Linux guest on a Windows 7 host that has been running for quite some time. Recently there was a kernel update along with the guest additions from the openSUSE build service. Ever since the update a reboot causes the guest to go into "emergency mode" just after "Creating device nodes with udev" is displayed. Booting with "safe" mode works. The guest also seems to start ok the first time after rebooting the host. I have also tried uninstalling the build service guest additions and install them manually and still have the problem.

#8836 obsolete openSUSE 12.1 build 9 crashes and crashes also my host. maninred2
Description

Yes, like in the summary. I had a quick look in the log. Could it be that the graphical system causes this?
