| #1037 | fixed | Auto-shutdown of vrdp-guest | ||
| Description |
When running a guest in headless (vrdp) mode, it would be nice when this sessions will be properly shutdown when the host is taken down. I opt for using 'savestate' when downing the session. In linux, this could be implementend in the /etc/init.d.vboxdrv script, in the stop-section. Just iterate over all registered sessions, in close them down whenever active. I try to build some bash-code and post this here. Note. This is only a problem when using vrdp-sessions. When starting a non-vrdp session, the gui askes for a shutdown-option on downing the host. |

| #1038 | duplicate | BlackBerry USB Composite Device not visible to BlackBerry Device Manager | ||
| Description |
USB Composite Device does not seem to work completely. Mass Storage works, but not control. Because of this BlackBerry Device Manager does not see the device connected. Mass Storage works, though. The same works with VMware Player -- but only after usb.generic.skipSetConfig modifications. Host: Ubuntu 7.10 with work-arounds for /proc/bus/usb applied Guest: Windows XP Professional VBox.log has following entries

| #1039 | fixed | Long guest shut down times when serial port enabled. | ||
| Description |
I upgraded VirtualBox and the guest additions from version 1.5.2 to 1.5.4. My host is Linux Ubuntu 7.10, AMD64. Shutting down a guest (it does not matter, if Linux or Windows guest) takes over 60 seconds now, if a guest serial port is enabled. This did not take so long with VirtualBox 1.5.2. Disabling the serial port results in normal shut down times (less than 10 seconds). Attached are the log files. |
