| #19884 | fixed | Ubuntu 20.04 GUI does not start with Hyper-V backend and 3D acceleration => fixed SVN/next maintenance | ||
| Description |
After a fix made in https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/19695#comment:22, VirtualBox test build 6.1.15 r140284 succesfully installs Ubuntu 20.04 (3D acceleration disabled), and it can be started and running well. If on a previously installed VM, enable 3D accelaration - Ubuntu 20.04 boots up, but GUI does not start, only text console is available. dmesg contains general protection fault of vmwgfx_dri.so. See attached picture. Environment:

| #2515 | fixed | Windows Vista x64 Guest Crash | ||
| Description |
Hardware: Dell Latitude D620 with an Intel Core 2 Duo\ Host OS: Ubuntu 8.04.1 x64 Hardy Guest OS: Windows Vista Enterprise x64 At seemingly random times, the machine execution stops and I get a mediation guru error message. There doesn't seem to be a particular event that triggers it. I have had it crash while installing Vista SP1, and I've had it crash while it was sitting idle at the desktop and I was playing a video game under Wine in the host OS. This is pretty reproducible as I've had at least 8 crashes in the past two days alone. Due to issues I've had with an x64 guest and the SATA controller, I have this particular machine running IDE. This problem is only apparent on the x64 guest. When I install Windows Vista Enterprise x86, I have no problems whatsoever, even with the SATA controller enabled. |

| #11066 | fixed | OSX-Guest on VirtualBox | ||
| Description |
I installed OSX on a previous Version of Virtualbox 4.2 and was able to get it running using Original Install-CD using EFI-Mode in Virtualbox. Since upgrading to VirtualBox 4.2.0 which seems to have an upgraded/altered EFI-Interface (new Menu?) I cannot boot into OSX any more. Instead of booting EFI (either OSX-CD or existing OSX-System from VDI) I see the UEFI Helper-System coming up... Is there any info on this bug yet? I see some errors showing up shortly while the VirtualBox BIOS Screen is shown. Btw. I'm using the Windows-Binary (Windows PC). |
