Description

The guest (Win XP) and the host (Ubuntu 7.10) randomly freeze for a few seconds. some time system locked up and may be released by pressing the power button or only by rebooting.

This is a very annoying phenomena! My laptop HW is based on Intel T7200 Core2 processor with 2GB RAM and 160GB HD.

I experience a crash, trying to install FreeBSD 6.3.

I have:

  • an existing virtual harddisk (with an older FreeBSD installation) This was created with a previous Version of VirtualBox
  • VirtualBox 1.5.4
  • ISO File containing FreeBSD6.3 (as downloadable on Freebsd.org)
  • Vista as Host
  • Intel Core2Duo (VT disabled)
  • Boot order is 1st Cd (iso) /2nd HD

Crashes while loading. See attached data (as instructed by the crash dialog)

Description

Windows Vista Business hangs and becomes completely unresponsive when running a virtual machine (in this case, running Fedora 7) when the wireless radios are powered on. The VM runs normally when the wireless radios are powered off.

I am attaching a zip file containing the log files that are in the [user/.virtualbox/machines/machinename/logs] directory.
