| #1782 | fixed | Clipboard content is often corrupted in Windows XP guest => Fixed in 1.6.6 | ||
| Description |
I'm running VirtualBox 1.6.2 on Ubuntu 8.04 x64 host with Windows XP (32-bit) guest with enabled shared clipboard feature. And it works quite well... for some time. Then, after some usage it occidentally starts to insert junk on paste instead of copied text. I could copy text again and it will likely be pasted correctly after this. Then, after some time it will insert junk instead of text again, and so on. Some times junk is only at the beginning of the text, that is only first couple of characters are corrupted, sometimes it is just few junk symbols, Corrupted symbols does not look like ASCII chars, so it is likely that buffer is overwritten with some binary data. And finally, after several corruptions shared clipboard stops operating at all. Internal host and guest buffers work just as expected, but they're independent from now on. Reboot solves this problem for a while again. VirtualBox log with relevant errors attached. |

| #1783 | fixed | VirtualBox freezes when Solaris 9 x86 32bit detects the keyboard. | ||
| Description |
Skipping keyboard detection at install gets me Webstart - Solaris Installer - pick language (keyboard doesn't work). I assume serial install or JumpStart would work fine. Host is SXCE 91, VBox 1.6.2 AMD64 package from Sun. |

| #1784 | fixed | Cannot create raw vmdk file on OpenSolaris | ||
| Description |
Running VirtualBox 1.6.2 on OpenSolaris 2008.05, 64-bit. This command: VBoxManage internalcommands createrawvmdk -filename /export/home/gs145266/fulldisk.vmdk -rawdisk /dev/dsk/c5d0p0 -register Returns: Error opening the raw disk: VERR_ACCESS_DENIED So I thought, okay, I need some privileges. I then ran this command: pfexec VBoxManage internalcommands createrawvmdk -filename /export/home/gs145266/fulldisk.vmdk -rawdisk /dev/dsk/c5d0p0 -register I got *no* response at all. No error message. And no file was created. The VBoxManage command just displays its copyright string and then exits. I used su and then ran VBoxManage again and got the exact same result: *no* result. No error message and no file is created. Is there some log file I can look at? Is there some way to turn on additional error reporting? |
