I use virtual box to practice with linux
But I've installed the version 7.10 of Ubuntu and the screen was so little, look it: http://img249.imageshack.us/my.php?image=virtualboxzb8.jpg That photo was with the virtualBox at full screen. I can't make bigger the screen. And I can't work with so much aplications, because I can't see some buttons like "accept", "continue" or "deny". XD
Please, can you tell me what can I do to make the screen bigger?
Please if you can, answer to my e-mail: genyo_liceo@…

| #925 | fixed | Ubuntu hangs during installation phase when installing as a guest OS => Fixed in SVN. | ||
| Description |
Posted the following on the Virtualbox forum on the 9th November but there has not been any responses. Have been trying to install Ubuntu 7.10 as a Guest OS onto a Windows XP Host machine. I have been using an .iso image file on the hard drive to try and install from and the installation process gets as far as 82% "Scanning the mirror" and then hangs. After some reading I realised that this version may not be fully supported so I tried installing Ubuntu 7.04 from the CD. This time I got to 83% "Downloading package lists" before the installation process hung. I have looked on various forums for answers but have not been able to find one specific to this. So I'm going to include the settings that I have used below and apologise if I include too much information. I'm new to Linux and VM software so I'm not entirely sure what to include. The only settings that differed during the 2 different attempts were that in the first attempt the CD/DVD-ROM was pointed at the .iso file on my hard drive and for the 7.04 attempt it was F: drive. | #926 | fixed | Seamless mode support for Multimonitor -> fixed in SVN | ||
| Description |
Hi, seemless mode is one of the biggest improvements I found over VMware workstation, but unfortuantely it only works with one monitor - but today more and more people use mutli-monitor systems (I personally use a 3 Monitor setup - with xinerama) and it would be nice if I can place application windows in seemless mode to all of them but yet the seemless mode only works in the monitor the seemless mode is started. I have no joice to drag the application to one of the other two monitors. Thx Ralf |
