#3840 duplicate reference to #3725 Windows 2003 display 4bit Florian
Description

this is in reference to bug #3725:

I have encounter the very same 4bit display problems after a SP2 update of my W2K3 VM running in a fedora linux 8 Virtualbox V2.1.2.

The w2k3 machine had been installed under Virtualbox v.2.0.2 with its very guest additions. After upgrading my virtualbox some weeks ago, I updated the w2k3 server VM with SP2 and found the display driver to be broken. Only 4bit color and 800x600 screensize.

Uninstalling the guest additions v2.0.2 and reinstalling 2.1.2 guest additions resolved the display problems.

Cheers, Florian

#9729 fixed recompiling on every reboot don-vbox
Description

I'm now running fedora 16(beta) but I think this has always been the case. On every reboot I see the virtualbox kernel modules being recompiled. Surely this is not how things are supposed to work!
